We had the pleasure of participating in a charity event sponsored by the Girls as Leaders (GALs) Club of Pinckneyville Middle School to raise money for Relay for Life. GALs is fabulous organization that focuses on leadership development through community service.

For this event, we offered family portrait sessions with all of the proceeds going to the GALs' contribution. In the end we were excited to write a $150 check to support their donation.

Last week we had fun photographing WomenUP 2008 at the Fabulous Fox Theatre. Hosted by the Atlanta Women's Network, WomenUP is a wonderful yearly event which brings together top women executives and entrepreneurs. We heard a panel discussion, in which 3 top women executives in Atlanta discssed the obstacles and surprises in their rise to the top. We also got to sample some very tasty appetizers while meeting with some very wonderful women. Dr. Carol Frohlinger then presented us with some helpful info on women and negotiating. Afterwards, there were scrumptious desserts (check out that chocolate shoe!) and coffee.
